Hi! Welcome to Madison Dox. This is my blog.
Writing a first blog post is kind of awkward. Like that first brave introduction when you meet someone new. You are a little nervous but muster up the courage to walk up to a stranger, reach out your hand in friendship and say, “Hi! I’m me. It’s nice to meet you.”
The entire time your head is saying, “Am I saying something stupid?”, “Will they think I’m weird?”, “Maybe we will be friends?”.
The feeling is the same breaking into the world of online writing. Every sentence I write feels stupid and I am afraid that you will think I’m weird. But maybe we can be friends?
I am writing this blog because I have perspective and that perspective is average. I hope in reading the words I share you will find a piece of yourself; something you’ve felt, experienced, lived or shared. I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a senior level manager at a Fortune 500 company. I have immense student loan debt. I am responsible for the entire operation of our family. I have anxiety. I am not an influencer or a “mommy blogger”. I live in an average house in an average town.
My words will be honest. My point is only to share. My goal is to connect, comfort and let all the other average humans out there know that you are not alone. Your story matters. Your struggle matters. Your perspective matters.
Now, let’s get ready to share and maybe we will be friends.
